Dentures in Downtown Edmonton
Are dentures for me?
If you’re missing one or more teeth, dentures may work for you. They are a popular option to replace missing teeth, especially if you are missing multiple teeth or all of the teeth on your upper or lower jaw.
How do dentures work?
There are two main types of dentures. Partial dentures are designed to replace one or more individual missing teeth. They come in a variety of styles and attachment options. Full dentures are designed to replace an entire row of teeth.
Dentures can be held in place by a variety of methods. Partial dentures can clip onto your existing teeth, and both partial and full dentures can be attached by suction to the roof of your mouth, denture adhesive, or to dental implants.
What are implant-mounted dentures?
Implant mounted dentures are permanent dentures that are affixed to dental implants. They are available as full and partial dentures. Depending on your individual needs we would place one or more implants in your mouth and then attach the dentures to them. They have the advantage of being very secure and they won’t slip or shift in your mouth.
Will I be able to speak and eat normally?
Modern dentures are designed to minimize the impact on your speaking and eating. Also, because they restore the function of your natural teeth, over time you may notice a positive improvement in your speech and ability to eat the foods you love.
