Dr. Kwantes is a General Dentist at Highmoor Dental in Edmonton, who believes in empowering individuals with the knowledge they need to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

Dr. Kwantes is a level-2 certified Botox®️️ practitioner. Dr. Kwantes’ interest in the field of dentistry began during high school with his own orthodontic treatment. After completing his Bachelor of Science at The King’s University in Edmonton, he moved to Australia to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Sydney.

Dr. Kwantes has enjoyed providing dental services in remote and underserved locations around the world. During his undergraduate years, he volunteered with Operation Esperanza (Hope), a mission providing pediatric dental care in the mountainous regions outside Cuenca, Ecuador. His DMD program included a placement in the remote Outback of central Australia. Most recently he ventured to the Arctic Circle, working in several small communities of Nunavut. These experiences have enriched him with valuable skills and perspective relating to dental care.

Recognizing that visiting the dentist can be a challenging experience for some, he aims to put his patients at ease with his gentle presence and friendly demeanor. He takes time to listen to their concerns and address any questions they may have. He believes in empowering individuals with the knowledge they need to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Outside of the dental office, he enjoys socializing with friends, maintains a healthy lifestyle through gym workouts, yoga and pilates, and hiking in the Rockies
