Your wisdom teeth are your final set of adult teeth. They’re a third set of molars that emerge at the back of your mouth.
In most cases where wisdom teeth are removed it’s because there’s no room for them to grow and they start to emerge under your molars. This can result in the molars becoming impacted. To prevent this, we remove the wisdom teeth before they begin to emerge.
Because wisdom teeth are usually removed before they emerge from your gums, they need to be removed surgically. The extraction itself is done using anesthetic and optional sedation so it is painless. You may feel pain after the treatment, however. We will help you with ways to manage your post-operation pain.
